The people behind Retainly
(and why we built this)
Hi, I'm Paige.
Lawyer. Business owner.
Slightly obsessed with contracts.
I started The Legal Paige because I kept watching talented, hardworking service providers get burned. Clients who ghosted. Scope creep that never got paid. Invoices that went ignored because there was nothing in writing backing them up.
And in almost every case, the fix was the same: a solid contract.
So I built a contract template shop. And it worked. Thousands of business owners found the right template, customized it, and finally felt confident about what they were sending their clients.
But then I started seeing the next problem.
Even with a great contract, the rest of the process was still a mess. The invoice was in one tool, the payment in another, the client info in a spreadsheet, and the contract in a PDF buried in a Google Drive folder with no name.
There was no proposal. No clean way to go from “here’s what I offer” to “here’s the contract” to “here’s the invoice.” Just a lot of manual work in between every step.
So I built Retainly. Because you shouldn’t need five tools and a project management degree to run a service business. And because every part of the process, from the first proposal to the final payment, should be backed by real legal expertise, not a template someone threw together on the internet.
- MISSION SECTION
We believe every service provider deserves to run a tight operation.
Not just the ones with teams, or the ones with a VA to handle their admin, or the ones who’ve been in business for a decade. Every single service provider: the person just starting out, the solo operator growing fast, the established business owner who’s been doing things the hard way for way too long.
Retainly exists to make the back end of your business work the way the front end does: professionally, confidently, and without you having to think about it every minute.
Our Values
Legally sound, always.
We don’t cut corners on the legal stuff. Because that’s the part that actually protects you when things go wrong. Every template in Retainly is built on The Legal Paige’s attorney-drafted foundation.
Built for real people.
We don’t assume you have an operations team. Everything in Retainly is built to be used by a real business owner who has 47 other things to do today. Intuitive on day one. No certification required.
Simple doesn't mean less.
Simple means it’s well-designed. Simple means it respects your time. Simple means the proposal flows to the contract flows to the invoice and you don’t have to rebuild anything at every step.
